Releases Management

The Botalista Community software uses unique three-position numbering; thus 1.4.5 corresponds to the maintenance version n° 5 of the functional version 1.4. The first position, here 1, only varies after a major change in the software (switch to a new framework, change in architecture, etc.).

Each maintenance path (1.4.5 to 1.4.6 for example) will not be subject to a general user test and will be automatically deployed on all instances of the Botalista Community software.

Each functional change (1.4.5 to 1.5.0 for example) will be the subject of a test instance creation (Release Candidate) with user tests. Generally, the test period will be modeled on the duration of the Sprints. Once the tests have been validated by all the institutes, the new version will be deployed on all instances of the Botalista Community software.
