BOTA-CULT : Cultivation management
In Botalista.Software (BLS), the BOTA-CULT module is used to manage the cultivated specimens held within your living collections.
It allows you to track plants originating from acquisitions, their location within the collections, their development over time, and the different operations related to their cultivation and propagation.
Video tutorials
The following video tutorials introduce specific BOTA-CULT features:
- Managing specimens using geographic coordinates []
- Managing propagation phases []
These videos provide a practical introduction to the recommended workflows for using these features in Botalista.
Prerequisites
The user must have, at minimum, read access to the BOTA-CULT module.
Some creation or editing operations require additional permissions depending on the user's assigned role.
User roles and permissions are described in the BOTA-USR documentation.
Module principles
BOTA-CULT is used to centralise the management of specimens held within living collections and maintain their history in Botalista.
The module can be used to:
- create and view cultivated specimens linked to acquisitions;
- manage their location within the collections;
- locate specimens using geographic coordinates;
- track their status and development over time;
- manage propagation phases and related operations;
- maintain a history of specimen management activities.
BOTA-CULT integrates with the other Botalista modules to ensure continuity between the acquisition of plant material and its management within the living collections.
For a practical introduction to some of these features, please refer to the video tutorials above.
